Yesterday, I was chatting to my friend. Ivan had asked him to come to a Christian event, this friend had declined Ivan and I was asking him why he wasn't going. Can you guess what the reply was? :)
"I'm not religious"
Naturally I referred him to our blog. (refer to my last post)
After reading the blog, he told me that his definition of religious is "to believe in a god". It's kind of a Catch 22 for him. In order to believe in God, you need to hear about God. But his very reason for not hearing about God is that he doesn't believe in God.
It's beautiful.
We talked about many more things.
He said " I didn't realise that you were a devout christian!". I found that very funny actually. I lol'ed and told him that I wasn't devout. He was surprised. I told him he was a devout non-christian. We both laughed. He was as devout as I was.

Many people don't realise listening to the Christian message is really a win-win situation: If at the end of the day there was No God, Heaven, Hell and you have heard this message, I guess all you have done is heard a fictional story. The fascinating thing is, this fictional story has transformed many people's lives from bad to good.
BUT If there was a God and Heaven and Hell are real, and you chose not to hear the message, you have just secured yourself to a one-way ticket to Hell.

I am surprised that my theory make even some sense at all. Since I probably don't understand what I was talking about if I re-read what I wrote.
