Tears in Heaven?

Sometimes I have a feeling of frustration when I see non-Christian friends, as I feel really sorry that they could not share the unconditional love that God offers us (yet). However, what gets more heartbreaking is when you hear some of them deny the existence of God, especially when you feel helpless in not being able to bring them closer to God.

A heartbreaking feeling exists even when we are faced with only a few close friends. Imagine how much more pain and sorrow our Father in Heaven, Who gave life to all these people, would have to bear when they deny His existence?

Yet, "for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). He loved the world so much that He offered us a gift that we humans never deserved: sending His own dear son to die for our sins and offering us eternal life.

God has not given us up. We should not give our non-Christian friends up either! Radiate yourselves for "No one lights a lamp and covers it with a bowl or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on the lampstand, so that people will see the light as the come in" (Luke 8:16).

Has God already choosen those that will enter heaven?

In effect, that is the whole essence behind "Two ways to live" right?

If there is a predetermination that God has made that we do not know the outcome, it will cause fear.

Our relationship with God is a growing one, one where we can get closer and closer to Him, not one that causes greater fear.

"For the Spirit that God has given you does not make you slaves and cause you to be afraid; instead, the Spirit makes you God's children, and by the Spirit's power we cry out to God, 'Father! my Father!'" (Romans 8:16)

I've heard of many many stories where ppl have given up on church when they see the fakeness and evil stuff that hides behind all those smiling faces... what should we, as christians, do about it?

I know that we are all sinners
i am a sinner
so is everyone at church.

I need to help them!!

Well, I must agree with Luke 8:16. The reason why we live the way we live is because of our faith. This comes down to the definition of faith. It is believing in something we cannot see, because we choose to do so.

On the point of people seeing superficial people at church, this is indeed quite an issue. In fact, it becomes a talking point in the community. That is, it is worse to be a non-believing Christian than to be an atheist because it brings the whole faith into disrepute. My parents are advocates of putting such "Christians" under scrutiny. They sometimes discourage me from going to Asian churches based on that principle alone. As a result, it does make things harder for other Christians who are indeed faithful and walking with God, as reputation is hard to build up once it has been tarnished.

The point I want to make in the above paragraph is, pray hard for the Christians around us. For those who see superficiality in the church congregation, see whether there are any remedies through gentle rebuke. If not, consider moving away from these people, they cannot help us in our walk with God...
